As a member you’ll start your whisky journey with us, helping to launch the distillery and release the first single malt whisky in John O’Groats for 180 years. Our membership numbers are strictly limited.

874 Founders Casks have now sold out.
These members will own some truly unique casks of Highland Single Malt Whisky that are created as part of our launch collaboration with master whisky maker John Ramsay.
Our core membership is limited to 1,250 members.
874 Club members will receive 1 x inaugural release 70cl bottle and 3 x 70cl bottles of exceptional Highland Single Malt Whisky. Matured in first-fill tailor made Spanish casks these bottlings are derived from bespoke seasoning and oak types chosen by master whisky maker John Ramsay.

We’re delighted to have John on board to develop our 874 Club launch products. John is a legend in the whisky industry with over 40 years experience and has worked with us to create some truly unique products.
Focusing on the importance of wood and how it influences the development of whisky characteristics during maturation, our 874 Club memberships provide an unmissable opportunity to become part of a new scotch legacy:
Cask packages will take members on a journey as their spirit develops in specially selected casks with samples provided each year.
Bottles packages provide members with the opportunity to compare how the 3 different varieties of oak have influenced their whisky as it matured.
With a limited number of cask and bottle packages available, it’s a chance to own the only Scotch Whisky developed by John since he retired.
John’s Bio:
John’s 43 years experience in the whisky industry started at Strathclyde distillery before he moved to William Lawson Distillers as a chemist and then master blender. He then moved company to what is now Edrington where he spent the last 17 years as their Master Blender. There he was responsible for some of Scotland's most well-known whisky including Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark, The Glenrothes and Highland Park. He was also responsible for The Macallan from 2001 to 2009 and developed its renowned Fine Oak range.
